You’ll create a large Ikebana flower using the stretching technique, the type of flower used for artistic sculptures, and I’ll teach you how to use it on its own or as a cake topper. In this course, I’ll introduce you to the casting and stretching technique, focusing on artistic pieces made of isomalt sugar. You’ll learn the pure technique to succeed with any artistic piece.
You will learn to use the casting technique on plaques and pedestals to display your artwork. You will see different effects that can be achieved with these decorations.
I will teach you what edible transfer printing is and how to apply it in different ways in artistic decorations.
You will learn the importance of controlling heat and timing.
The aim of this course is to introduce you to the field of artistic sculpture and enable you to master the techniques.
COURSE CONTENT
- I will introduce you to the course with a brief theory on the importance of proper isomalt preparation to achieve better results.
- I will show you the tools needed to work with this technique.
- Using the casting technique, I will teach you how to make presentation plaques and pedestals.
- In the stretching technique section, I will make an Ikebana flower.
- You’ll learn something super important: preservation. How to preserve isomalt while you’re working with it and how to preserve the finished piece.
